November Favourites

November was full of new beauty finds especially when I found the Barry M glitter top coats in Masqurade and Starlight. These two polishes make the perfect manicures for the festive season! Masqurade has already appeared on the blog (see post here) and I'll be definetely making a post on Startlight soon!

I've recently re-discovered my love for Versace perfumes by wearing Yellow Diamonds. I'm not good at describing how perfumes smell but yellow diamonds is just beautiful. Versace seem to be the only perfumes that last all day too. I've been wearing this perfume all month and I can't wait to get Crystal Noir for Christmas!

I haven't bought much makeup this month as I've been trying to get through all of my 'old' makeup before Christmas. I did buy the Maybelline colour drama intense velvet lip liner in 'Berry Much' (see review here). I just had to get this shade as it makes the perfect autumal lip. The formula is just amazing and it's like a lipstick rather than a lip liner!

I discovered Too Faced last Christmas and I've been obsessed ever since, especially with the eye shadow palettes. I got 'Return Of The Sexy' for my Birthday and it's probably my most used eye shadow palette of this year.

Well, Novemeber is over for another year and now it's finally December! I'm already so excited for Christmas as it's my favourite time of year!

Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil In Shade Berry Much

This is my all time favourite lip pencil. Ever. We got the shade Nude Perfection back in September when Maybelline first released these beauties and we haven't stopped using it since. So with the cold weather well and truely here, we've been pulling on jumpers and boots and that's when I realised we didn't have a traditional berry lip colour for the colder months. We're one of those people that love makeup and when the season changes, so does our makeup! I actually have so much makeup that I probably do have many, many berry lipsticks but I'll come up with any excuse to buy a new lip shade!

This colour is named Berry Much (I love the name) and it's absolutely perfect! It's so dark and more purplish berry toned than a pinkish colour which is exactly what I'm after. Dreamy! I applied this to my lips and it's so pigmented! I knew the colour would be fantastic because even the Nude Perfection shade has great colour which is rare for a nude colour.

I think I actually prefer lip pencils these days as it actually stays put on my lips for hours without re-applying. What makes these lip pencils so lovely though is that they are non drying in the slightest, even in the winter months when my lips are more prone to getting chapped. It's a winner in my eyes. There are also many shades to choose from like classic reds, pink colours or my beloved Nude Perfection. I tend to wear the lip pencil alone but sometimes I add a lipstick on top and obviously the lippie stays on for hours! Sorry for not adding a photograph of this on my lips but it's quite hard to photograph your own lips, haha! I'm sure you'll see us wearing this in future blog posts though.

All of this and it's just £4.99! Great price as the product lasts for months. I'd recommend to everyone!

Will you be trying this new classic?

My New Perfect Nude Lip - Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil.

These past couple of weeks I've tried so hard to stop spending all my money on make up that I don't need. But what can you do when you're a lipstick junkie like I am? I have so many lipsticks and most of the shades that I buy look identical to each other (ooops!). Before purchasing this lip liner, Rimmel's Coffee Shimmer lipstick never left my lips and I didn't think I'd find any other lip colour that could take it's place. But Maybelline might have topped it!

Today whilest I was out shopping I felt very vunerable to my feelings and I guess I felt a bit down. I wanted to go home but then I decided a good trip into Boots would take my mind off things. I didn't expect to buy anything but enter Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet lip pencil! I haven't heard anything about this new collection so I was really excited to give it a try.

Maybelline in my opinion have been great this year, constantly bringing out new and creative make up inventions and this lip pencil is certainly no exception. The shade I bought is a lovely nude and is apporiately named ''Nude Perfection''. The texture is smooth and non-drying on my lips - this was something I was worried about because I've never came across a lip liner that hasn't made me lips feel super dry but this liner is perfect. It doesn't budge for hours either. Although it is only a nude, the colour is so pigmented. The other shades in the range are really bright and bold and I've got my eye on the vampy purple shade, ''Berry Much''. At £4.99, I think this pencil is absolutely amazing value for money and I haven't stopped wearing it since purchase.
