Winter Warmers | Primark Jumper and Skirt

JUMPER - Primark
FLUFFY SKIRT - Primark
TIGHTS - Primark
CHOKER - Ebay

It feels like I haven't done an outfit of the day in ages! The reason for this is because I feel like I needed to upgrade my wardorbe with new bits and pieces for autumn. It really does feel like it's turned into WINTER overnight. I don't know if anyone else has felt like this but I have been absolutely freezing cold and obviously this is no fun! So an urgent shopping trip was in need. I don't have much money at the moment and the money I do have I want to save or at least buy something I know I'm going to wear and love forever.

This jumper from primark was the perfect purchase. It is seriously cosy and looks fashionable at the same time! It's just what I needed and to make sure I keep extra warm I've got my long sleeved thermals on underneath (!) You've got to dress for the weather!

How cute is this skirt? I love it! It's in the same material as my jumper and it's so soft. It keeps me extra warm and I haven't got any other skirts quite like this one! I know I'll be wearing this one a lot in the coming months. I've just got some plain tights on now the months are colder and this is horrible for me seeing as I love my fashion tights. It's just too cold for them now though. These tights are also frim Primark and they are velvet touch. I love them, not as much as my trusty fashion tights though!
I'm also wearing my favourite choker from Ebay. I love chokers. I think they add so much to an outfit even though they're just a small touch!

So this is was a really cheap but cute outfit and I know I'll be wearing it alot!
Have you got you're winter clothes in yet?

Wait and Braid | Lace Braid

Seeing as me and Rachel have become obsessed with braiding we've decided to add a little feature on our blog call Wait and Braid! This is just something were we post our latest hairstyles and braids. I really love the name too so I thought it was a great idea. I hope you all enjoy our braiding posts as much as I love them. I mean it when I say I'm obsessed with braiding. I think doing different braids each day inspire me to experiment with my overall look and style. Plus, a good plait makes me feel like I've actually done something useful with my hair!

Onto the braid. This is a lace braid I done in Rachel's hair on Friday. I love doing braids in Rach's hair since she got it dyed darker because the condition is beautiful, like pure silk! I think you can see how well conditioned it is in these photographs.

A Lace braid is just a french or dutch braid but your only adding hair into the top section of hair. Hopefully with more practise I'll be able to do more styles with the Lace braid but I think this look is already beautiful and different. It's not hard to style either!

The Ultimate Red Lipstick | L'Oreal Eva's Pure Red.

I was really excited when I heard that L'Oreal were bringing out a new collection of red lipsticks, just like they did last year with the nude collection. I was such a massive fan of the nude shades last year and they were the only lipsticks I wore! So needless to say I had very high expectations for the pure red collection.

I love the concept of these lipsticks. Each shade is made to suit and compliment different skin tones and named after a celebrity so it makes colour matching even easier! I'm sure this will help a lot of people that have a hard time deciding on the right shade for them. Red lipstick is a hard shade to carry off!

When I swatched the four shades on my arm (Julianne's Red, Blake's Red, Eva's Red and Liya's Red), I knew that I needed the Eva red lipstick. I know I'm fair skined but I felt like her red would suit me the most and it was my favourite of the bunch without a doubt. The red isn't too dark and isn't too light. All the other reds were a lot lighter and pinker and that isn't what I really want in a red lipstick as I prefer them darker. So I went ahead and bought Eva's red anyway!

The formula is amazing and the staying power is absolutely incredible! I can wear this lipstick for hours without having to re-apply! My lips haven't felt dry is the slightest either. I've also noticed that this lipstick really does compliment my skin tone even though it's meant for darker skin.
I don't have bad word to say about this lipstick. I know it will be really popular and may even convert nude lipstick lovers into red lipstick fiends!

What's your favourite lipstick?

Wait and Braid | Half up Fishtail

Braiding my hair has always been something I've wanted to do but I never actually tried until recently. I always used to look at people on Youtube braiding and feel insanely jealous! With hairstyles, I just assumed it was something that I would find way too tricky to master. It was only this week I thought to myself; if I don't try, I won't learn! So learn was exactly what I did! Youtube is where I started but I bought a braiding book a couple of months ago too. I began with practising Dutch braids (my fave)! I didn't get it at all and got frustrated easily but thankfully I didn't give in. Practise really does make perfect because all of a sudden I got what I needed to do and then I was obsessed with braiding!

I didn't stop at Dutch braids though and now I've finally achieved the Fishtail plait! I absolutely love this style and I think it looks really intresting. I love the extra twist with the topsy tail above the Fishtail braid! If anyone would be intrested in learning this style I might post a photograph tutorial on the blog soon!

Do you love braiding your hair?

Reasons Why I'm Looking Forward to Autumn!

For those of you who don't know, it offically turned the season of Autumn sometime during this week and from the photographs above you can already see the leaves falling, turning different colours and the weather is certainly changing down here in Liverpool! I actually can't wait for the colder weather and for Autumn to come. I love absolutely about it  and I think it's because I've never been a person that loves the Summer. Here are my top reasons why I love Autumn:

  • The changing colours. I love the reds, oranges and browns of the leaves. It makes everwhere look so much more beautiful and makes my walks in the park even more enjoyable!
  • The colder weather. Some people might think I'm crazy for thinking this! You'll see in my next reason why I love the colder weather!
  • The FASHION! See, I told you there was a good reason why I liked the colder weather! Fur coats, hats and gloves are my favourite things to wear. I think I have a slight fur obsession with coats though. Not to mention snuggly jumpers and knitted tights to keep cosy. I think my outfits looks so much better in Autumn/Winter than they ever do in the warmer months.
  • The T.V gets better. Watching T.V isn't something I do much and with good reason. I can never find anything good to watch apart from The Following. So, with Autumn brings Strictly Come Dancing. I love that show and have watched it for years, ever since I can remember actually! I absolutely detest The X-factor though!
  • Darker makeup looks. You can't go wrong with a dark red lipstick or smokey eyes!
  • My favourite colours to wear in Autumn are black (no surprise!) and burgundy.
  • I love the darker nights. This is probably why I don't like Summer. The light nights just don't feel right!
  • Autumn only means Halloween and Bonfire night! I love special occasions!
  • Christmas is closer and only a couple of months way! Christmas time is my favourite time of year so naturally I am already excited!

Cute Floral Prints

 Dress - Select
Blouse - Forever 21
Shoes - River Island
Tights - New Look

I have been completly obsessed with this outfit! On a recent trip out to town, me and my sister Rachel decided to take a trip into Forever 21. I've never been in Forever 21 and I don't really know why but after buying this cute velvet black blouse, I've fallen in love with all of there beautiful clothes! The blouse is just my style and it's a big favourite of mine. It's got so much detail which I love and it has a slightly clinched in waist. I've been into the shop three more times since first going in there and I know it's fast becoming my favourite store. The skirts, blouses, t-shirts are just beautiful! Forever 21 coming into my life isn't good news for my purse though! Next up is the cute flotal playsuit from Select. I normally love wearing dresses and skirts but I love the patten of this playsuit. I've always been a big fan of floral and I just think the pattern is gorgeous. I love the colours in the pattern too. I'm also wearing my beloved New Look tights and River Island shoes.

Do you love Forever 21 as much as we do?

My Two Clueless Inspired Skorts!

Believe it or not, I've never owned a pair of skorts, before now that is! Last Sunday I decided to go onto the River Island webside and in the sale section I happened to spot these two amazing pairs of skorts. I knew I needed them right away because the minute I saw them all that came into my mind was Cher and the 90's classic film, Clueless! (one of my favourite films). When they finally arrived in the post I was absolutely overjoyed. They are comfortable, stylish and look even better than they did online. For only £10 each you can't beat them and I think I'll be living in these for a while. The baby pink ones are probably my favourite!

Will you be looking into the River Island sale?
