New Years Eve Walk & New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year's eve everyone! I know many people are thinking this but can you believe it's going to be 2015 tomorrow? A new start and a new chapter for everyone. I hope everyone has a really nice day! I'm really going to make 2015 wayy more better than 2014. It's been a pretty tough year. So we both thought there would be nothing more relaxing than saying 'f*ck off' to this year than going on a nice winter walk to the park with our parents and doggies. I wanted to get a photograph of the dogs but they never stay still! They were both too busy slipping all over the icy pavements. Doesn't it all look so beautiful with the frost and the left over remains of snow on the ground? My favourite type of Winter weather.
We also thought we'd add in some quick New Year's resolutions for 2015. I never stick to these but I think it's still great to make them and have personal goals!

1. Don't hate on yourself so much. I know, me and Rachel are terrible for this and it's something I've never talked about on the blog before. We constantly pick on ourselves and sadly make ourselves feel worthless. We have very low self esteem because of being bullied in school I think. I think trying to boost our self esteem is going to be the best thing for us.

2. Continue art and guitar. I love being creative but obviously I can start losing focus. Especially with guitar - sometimes I want to smash it because I feel so frustrated learning it! But I want to make sure I keep on learning borth art and guitar because I do love it really. No matter how frustrating it might get!

3. To be more positive. I should probably say not to worry as much too. I swear my mind never stops torturing me and making me worry about things that don't matter/aren't true.

Have you made any New Year's Resolutions?

MAC | Keepsakes Set

I was one lucky girl this Christmas. Me and Rachel always buy each other Christmas and birthday presents. It's like our sisterly tradition but we always end up showing each other before we're meant to! This year was no different and I couldn't believe it when I opened my Christmas present from Rachel! This year's MAC Keepsakes Christmas set! I know, I was in shock too!
I've only ever owned a couple of MAC lipsticks before and absolutely loved them like everyone else. I've really wanted to try out other products and this was the most perfect present! I almost cried haha. Inside this beautiful glittery black bag (can you believe how glamourous and pretty this packaging is?) was a brown eyeliner, an two set eyeshadow palette and a mascara! They are all full sized and I could barely contain my excitement. Is there really anything better than putting expensive make up on? It always makes me feel so much better and it's the ultimate treat.

I've included a photograph of me wearing all the mentioned products! Wow, these are the best eye make up products EVER. The mascara. It's unbelievable! Look how long it makes me lashes while keeping them natural looking. I love the eye shadows too. They are so creamy and soft and glide on my eye lids seamlessly. I love the shades. One is a shimmery white but looks really understated and highlights perfectly. The other is like a brown but really compliments the white. It doesn't look harsh against the lighter shade and is a dream to wear. In my opinion, brown eyeshadow is so much more wearable than black so this was the perfect liner for me. It lives up to all expectations too. It finshes off my look perfectly and I can't thank my beautiful sis Rach enough for this truely gorgeous gift!

What do you think of MAC makeup? Do you think it's worth the price tag?

MAC | Twig & Taupe Lipstick Swatches

Christmas wouldn't be complete without a MAC lipstick would it? I love MAC makeup but I don't usually buy it during the year. We got Twig and Taupe as a present for this Christmas and we couldn't be happier with them!

TWIG
First up is Twig. Twig is a pink/brown lipstick with a satin finish. This shade is quite similar to MAC's Mehr lipstick. It's a wearable shade and perfect for all year round. It glides on the lips and it doesn't dry them out at all. The staying power is great too and it's so pigmented. As always, I love the smell of MAC lipsticks. They kind of remind me of cake for some reason or vanilla. I've got nothing bad to say about this lipstick, I love it!

TAUPE
Taupe is a matte lipstick and is a dark nude colour. I think every girl that loves a dark nude lipstick will love Taupe. It's the perfect brown shade and it's so pigmented and stays on all day. This lipstick really complements pale skin and any hair colour. As this is a matte lipstick, I was worried it would dry my lips out but this lipstick is actually very moisturizing! I would definitely buy this colour again!

As you can see Twig and Taupe are beautiful colours and so on trend. I would definitely recommend everyone to try these two lipsticks out!

Do you love Twig and Taupe?

Boxing Day

What I'm Wearing: FUR COAT, Dorothy Perkins | GILET, Boo Hoo | PLAYSUIT, Topshop | SHOES, Primark | EAR MUFFS, New Look | RING, Gemporia.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I'm kind of upset that it's all over now but I'm so excited for New Year now. Boxing Day is always a great day to relax and today we went to our local park for a long walk to show off our new clothes. I'm wearing my new Dorothy Perkins fur coat. Burgundy is one of my favourite colours so you'll see me in this coat for a while! To keep extra warm, I'm wearing my new gilet from Boo Hoo. I already have a few gilets but you can never have too many as they're so warm! My burgundy playsuit goes perfect with my coat too! The playsuit is quite different from my usual style but I just adore how it looks with the top underneath it. With all of these layers, you can say that I was pretty warm on our winter walk!

Last up is my new ring that I got for Christmas. This ring is just stunning! I can't even say what colour it is exactly as in natural light it's a light burgundy and then it looks a dark plum. I've never owned a garnet ring before so I'm so happy to add this little gem to my collection!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

Bourjois | Christmas & New Year Makeup

So it's Christmas Eve tomorrow and I can barely contain my excitement anymore! I can't believe it even though I've been looking forward to Christmas so much, it still feels unreal at the moment. In a matter of hours it will be Christmas morning and I'll be eating mince pies - yeah, at six in the morning because I don't want to waste a minute of the day, haha!

Anyway, onto today's post. There is no better time to dress up than at Christmas and with all the parties and New Year coming up, I thought I'd do a post showing some of my favourite make up products for this time of year. I'll be wearing this look on Christmas day. All these products are from Bourjois - my all time favourite high street make up brand! They never disappoint and I thought it would be nice to use all the products from just from one brand.

On my face I use the Bourjois CC cream. I never got the hype at first but this cream makes my skin look so much more naturally clearer and brighter than foundation. Unlike some CC creams, this one actually does cover up imperfections. I then put on the matching 123 Perfection CC eye cream to cover up dark circles. Then I put on some Healthy Mix concealer. I love this concealer as it's affordable but covers up all my imperfections! I use this when I feel I need extra coverage and it does the job perfectly. I actually need a new one as I've ran out now. Then I use the blush exclusif! I love this! The blush changes to suit everyones skin tone. See why Bourjois is my favourite brand? :)

Then on my eyes I use the latest Bourjois release which is the Smoky Stories quad palette. I love this because of the shimmery highlighter in the middle of the quad. It's really sparkly and adds so much more to my eye look. I don't use eyeliner because I want it to be all about the lashes. This is one of my favourite mascaras ever! The Volume 1 Seconde mascara should be in everyone's make up bag.

Now onto my favourite part of any make up look. The lips! It wouldn't be a Christmas look without a bright red lipstick would it? This is my all time favourite lipstick and that is a pretty bold statement coming from me. I'm a massive lipstick junkie but nothing beats the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks. This shade is Hot Pepper and it's so bright but wearable too. It stays put for hours and completes this festive look! Highly recommended.

There is my Christmas look! I hope you all have a great Christmas and remember to have a great, relaxing time too! I hope you all enjoyed this post.

Christmas Night Shopping

Christmas only comes once a year and I couldn't wait to spend my Friday night Christmas shopping while looking at the lights. Everything feels so much more magical and special at this time of year don't you think? We weren't out shopping for long but it was still an exciting trip out. The Christmas tree looks so beautiful this year and so over the top, I love it! I also love the big reindeers too - they were without a doubt my favourite! I really am going to be sooo sad when they get taken down. The Christmas markets have already gone! I think I'm going to be even more upset when we take down out Christmas tree. Anyway, I'll stop being depressing now. Christmas is almost here!

Festive Fashion | Christmas Jumpers!

When you hear 'Christmas jumper' you immediately picture an embarrassing jumper that you wouldn't be seen dead in (maybe that's a bit to far, haha.) I must admit, I've never owned a Christmas jumper before but this year has been a turning point for Christmas jumpers as they're now stylish and  essential for the festive season. I just had to create a list of my favourite Christmas jumpers of 2014.  My favourite in the picture above is probably the River Island 'naughty or nice' jumper, I mean how could you not love this jumper? I also love the sequins on the Christmas tree jumper which is from Topshop. You can never have enough sparkle, especially at this time of year!

You're never to old to wear a festive jumper but let's not forget about hats! I think hats are a great accessory to any outfit and I've been wearing my Christmas pudding and reindeer hat all month, you can read all about them here!

Christmas is now less than a week away and I can't even contain my excitement! What are your favourite Christmas jumpers of this year?

Early Christmas Presents | Dior J'adore L'or Perfume & Body Milk

Who doesn't love Dior? When our mum gave us this Dior set as an early Christmas present we couldn't be happier! As always, the packaging looked stunning. How cute is the bow on the box? I almost didn't want to open it but I was so excited to see what was inside.

At first I thought it was the J'adore perfume but I was so  excited to see Dior's fragrance, J'adore L'or! I hadn't smelt L'or before now but I can honestly say that L'or is 1000x better than J'adore. L'or smells like no other perfume in my collection and I can already say it's a new favourite of mine. After a little research on the internet this perfume contains Rose petals, Vanilla and Jasmine. So, it's slightly floral and sweet smelling but I can't describe how expensive it smells. The best part? It lasts all day long! I suggest everyone to at least have a sniff of this perfume when your next in Boots or Debenhams. L'or oddly smells absolutely nothing like the orginal J'adore. I much prefer it to the orginal though. It's much more unique, luxurious and simply beautiful. Dior's beautifying body milk is also in the set. Although I haven't tried this yet, I can already tell it will be amazing!

What do you think of this set? Do you like the L'or perfume?

Christmas Markets in Liverpool.

Can you believe it's Christmas next week? I can't! It seems like it's just came out of nowhere but I'm so excited. Looking around the Christmas markets are always the most perfect thing to do to get in the Festive spirit. So on Sunday we decided to do just that! It wasn't a nice day and it never stopped raining but I still enjoyed myself. I would have taken more photographs but the weather really was a let down! A Christmas market always comes to Liverpool and I love how much they add to the city. I think I'll be upset when they go come January. I think there used to be more stalls but there was still quite a lot to look at. Food, drink and seasonal items are the main attraction. There was a mulled wine stall, fudges, sweets and crafts stalls in the market. There really is something for everyone to enjoy while out Christmas shopping!

Christmas in Liverpool is amazing. This week we'll be going to town to see the Christmas lights too! So, we'll be hoping to write up a little post up on that too. I hope you liked this festive post. I hope you all have a great Christmas.

Do you love the Christmas Markets?

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Happy Nude Year | Review & Swatches

When I first saw Bourjois rouge edition velvet lipsticks, I fell in love with them. I just love the idea of a liquid lipstick with a matte finish. I have all of eight shades that range from pinks, peach shades to deep reds. The lastest one I added to my collection is the newest shade, Happy Nude Year.

Happy Nude Year is a beautiful  pink/peach colour. I do find that the name of this shade is misleading as I don't find this colour nude at all but I instantly fell in love with this colour. I think many people will love Happy Nude Year as it's so wearable and will suit every complexion!

These lipsticks are so easy to apply too. They apply like a gloss as you apply it with the wand applicator. The finish is like a velvety matte which I love as it feels so lightweight on my lips. I do find this shade more drying than the other colours in the range but the staying power of this lipstick is just amazing - I can wear it for hours without it even budging!

Overall, this is another must-have product from Bourjois. The colour and the formula are just amazing and I'm so happy that I now have all eight shades from the Rouge Edition collection. I even hope they bring out more colours!

What do you think of Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks? What are your favourite shades?
