My Favourite Products From Rimmel

Rimmel is one of my favourite highstreet makeup brands as they're products are always on point! My favourites from Rimmel are the face products. 'Match Perfection' and 'Stay Matte' foundation are both pale foundations and they suit my skin tone perfectly. The don't at all feel cakey on my skin and they both give flawless finishes. Both foundations are very different from each other so I love using both of them. I always feel like I need to sweep a little bit of powder on my face to finish my base makeup so I love using the 'Clear Complexion' powder. This powder is translucent and it really keeps my skin looking matte.
I was so intrested to see 'Brow This Way' styling eyebrow gel was any good and I finally gave in and bought it just after Christmas. This brow gel is in two shades and I got the darkest shade and it matches my brows perfectly. I love using this when my eyebrow hairs just droop down and it really arches my brows into perfect shape. I would say that my brows stay fixed all day but obviously I can't abandon my trusty eyebrow pencil to fill in my brows but at £3.99, this is a great eyebrow product!
Salon Pro nail varnishes are my favourite polishes ever! I think they're better than any designer polishes out there. This polish can stay on my nails for days without chipping. The finish is also gel like which I love and it really does like salon quality. 'Peppermint' is a gorgeous shade and I think it will look gorgeous in Spring/Summer. There are so mant gorgeous colours in the range and I swear I've nearly bought every shade!
'Coffee Shimmer' is one of my favourite lipsticks. I think every girl that loves the 90's should have this shade of lipstick in their makeup bag. This lipstick feels so creamy on my lips and it does stay on for quite a long time. I also love using Rimmel's 'Professional Eyebrow' pencil along with the brow gel as it really fills in my brows and it's only £2.99!
Here is a picture of me wearing most of the products :) I'm wearing 'Match Perfection' foundation with the 'Perfect Complexion' powder. My skin is quite oily and both of these products keep my skin from getting too oily through out the day. Match Perfection is also the perfect colour for my skin tone and it doesn't feel at all cakey. I filled my brows in with the 'Professional Eyebrow Pencil' and I'm also wearing 'Coffee Shimmer' on my lips to complete my look.

I hope you liked this post! What are your favourite Rimmel products?

Valentine's Day Nails | Our Favourite Red Nail Polishes

Today's post is a quick one on our favourite red nail polishes as it's Valentine's Day on Saturday. Red is my favourite colour to wear on my nails and they're are a lot of red polishes to choose from. As a complete nail polish addict, I've got thousands of polishes but here are my favourites!

Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Mars - Ever since last year, I've absolutely loved the Salon Pro collection by Rimmel. It's long lasting, easy to apply with the bigger brush and doesn't take too long to dry which is vital for me. I always end up smudging my nails but not with this polish. It's really shiney too so you don't even need topcoat! This red shade is my favourite and has been my go-to red for absolutely ages now! For the perfect red you only need two coats.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail Varnish in Femme Fatal - I used to love buying these L'oreal polishes but I haven't bought one for a while now. However, I do love this red in the collection. It doesn't chip and the shine is gorgeous! Almost gel like. The brush isn't as big as the Rimmel one. I really don't like the size of this bottle though! It's so small but it is good quality.

OPI Nail Lacquer - I don't know the name of this shade but it's a really nice red. I do have to say that I don't reach for this one as much as the others. For such an expensive polish it chips quite a lot. I don't think I'd ever pay this much for a nail polish again as the quality is no better than a highstreet polish. Then again, the pricey things in life always make nice treats :)

Max Factor Colour Effects Mini Nail Polish - I think this is called Ruby Tuesday and it's a lovely bright red and lighter than the other shades in this post. I love this red. It looks a little like MAC's lipstick Ruby Woo for the nails! For such a mini bottle it is over-priced at £4.99!

WAH London in Love My Team - I wore this polish on Christmas day and it's so gorgeous! The first thing I noticed was how fast this polish dried! It's a true red in my eyes and I'm really impressed with WAH London on a whole. It's a great nail brand and their nail art kit is absolutely amazing! You can read about WAH's nail art kit here (x)!

I hope you all have a lovely valentines day! I'll be watching horror movies instead :) What is your favourite red polish?

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation | Review & Swatches

Before Christmas, I had run out of every single foundation I owned (this has never happened before!) so I had to use my old and forgotten bottle of Estee Lauder Double Wear. I am being serious when I say that Double Wear has got to be my least favourite foundation ever! The colour is absolutely terrible and I just don't like the consistency. Really disappointing for my first ever expensive foundation - never again! So, for Christmas I turned to the trusty highstreet foundations! Rimmel is my favourite brand for face make up products because the shades are personally perfect for me and I've had other foundation before from the brand. Rimmel's Match Perfection foundation was a new one to me though and I thought it was time I gave it a go!

I was absolutely blown away by this product and I'll keep on re-purchasing forever! This is the best foundation I've ever used. I honestly think everyone should get a bottle. I got the lightest shade of Match Perfection which is Porcelain. It's perfect for fairer skinned girls and the colour is perfect for me. It's probably the best foundation I've ever had for an accurate match for my skin. It's medium coverage and it doesn't feel heavy at all. I set it with Rimmel's Clear Complexion Transparent powder. Instead of rambling on about how much I love this foundation, below I've done a list of all the reasons why I absolutely adore Match Perfection:

Pros:
  • The perfect colour.
  • Blends beautifully and looks natural.
  • Light weight.
  • Looks flawless all day.
  • Amazing staying power.
  • Covers dark circles and blemishes.
  • I think this would suit most skin types.

Cons:
  • Those with oily skin types may need to use a little bit of powder though out the day.
At £6.99, this foundation is definately a beauty bargain and I think you should try this amazing product out for yourself. You definately won't regret it in the slightest!

Would you try Match Perfection foundation?

Halloween | Kitty Cat Makeup

This post marks the beginning of our Halloween series! Me and Rachel were getting in the early Halloween spirit by playing around with our makeup. Rachel done my makeup as a cat and she done her makeup as a leopard and it just love how it turned out!
I just want to mention that both of these looks are inspired by Abby who runs the blog, Twist Me Pretty. You should check out her blog and youtube channel, it's amazing! Anyway, let's get to it and lets focus on the Kitty Cat makeup look which I was wearing!

I've always dressed up for Halloween and this year will be no different! For me, October has the vibe of Halloween for the whole of the month and I couldn't wait to finally try out a makeup look. This look was quite easy to achive as I found that it was just unusual twist on my normal makeup look. I prepared my skin with my normal foundation and powder. I then contoured my skin which I haven't really done before but now I'm obsessed! I then added a pink blush to my cheeks. The best thing about this look is the eyes! I obviously created a cat eye for this look. I made my flicks extra long and thick. I also added a sparkly eyeliner on top to give the look more glamour.
Products I used:
Face: Maybelline Superstay foundation | Rimmel Clear Complexion powder | Seventeen Highlighter | Dior Skin Healthy Glow blusher | Bourjois Paris Maxi Delight Bronzer
Eyes: Urban Decay in Sin | Bourjois in Upside Brown quad eyeshadows | Seventeen High Drama eyeliner | Too Faced Kohl eyeliner | Collection glitter eyeliner | Bourjois Volume Glamour mascara
Eyebrows: Too Faced brow evny kit
Lips: Barry M black lipstick

It isn't the scariest for Halloween but it's the perfect twist on your makeup look. You simply can't go wrong with a simply kitty cat makeup. As I said, this is only the first post in our Halloween series. Look out for more Halloween themed posts in the next two weeks.

Have you ever been a kitten for Halloween? Do you think you'll try this look out?
